Wildlife programme transfer to AHVLA

On 1 April 2013, the Fera Wildlife Programme transferred into the Animal Health and Veterinary Laboratories Agency (AHVLA), which like Fera is an Executive Agency of Defra.

The move brings better alignment of the services the Wildlife Programme and AHVLA provide to Government and commercial customers.

Fera and AHVLA already work closely together and the move will not affect this close working relationship or the Wildlife Programme's access to Fera's scientific expertise in analytical chemistry, bio-infomatics, statistical analysis and molecular biology.
